FiOS TV Redefining a NEW way to Enjoy TV
Verizon announced enhancements to its FiOS TV’s Facebook and Twitter widgets, a free interactive social TV applications added recently. With the updates, households who subscribe to FiOS can send Tweets (mini blogs in text format posted to real-time, social network media) and modify their Facebook profiles with the onscreen keyboard.
The company is concentrating on adding new functionalities to develop customer experience of social networking. These new features allow subscribers additional ways to connect with each other when utilizing FiOS TV service.
“The Widget Bazaar”, is a new store released last July along with Facebook, Twitter, ESPN, and online video services. This introduction is expected of presenting new widgets and applications for FiOS subscribers. The “Widget Bazaar” will also soon be open to third- party programmers through revenue sharing program.
Because to the stiff rivalry among the Triple play operators Verizon remains enticing offers like a free laptop and minicam. They had also decided to focus more on delivering more feature and functions to the consumers to stay ahead of the competition.
The key to Verizon’s continued success is credited to its growing number of FiOS TV and FiOS High speed Internet. The company is also penetrating more market. This is evident in the increase of FiOS TV subscriptions in the last 2 quarters. At the end of the 2nd quarter, their subscription reached to 7 figures.
